Children facing trauma, have trouble with regulating their stress response, especially if the trauma is prolonged and leading to chronic stress. Children and young adults will begin to manifest changes in behavior, feeling, thinking and body responses. It is therapeutic for children to be able to identify them, and also to help the therapist in tailoring treatment.
If there are any missing, allow the child to name them, thus creating an understanding of trauma induced behaviors for them and the family.
Can be used by family members to help identify the trauma behaviors in children.

1. Initial assessment of the child, introduce them to each card and ask if they identify with the cards and keep aside those the child identifies with
2. Create a treatment plan accordingly
3. Review with the child every few months to understand changes and growth 4. Alter treatment plan
